The Butler County Health Department was created in 1948 when county residents approved the establishment of a property tax to support public health activities. Public efforts are designed to prevent illness, prolong life and improve and protect the health of all the people in our community.

To do that, we offer services in the following areas

The Butler County Health Department receives Health Alerts as they are issued by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Centers for Disease Control along with other state and federal agencies.
